Not sure what to say?

I am thinking of Aunt Betty as I get ready for the services today. We will gather at the same place, just three weeks after we gathered there for Uncle Ed's passing. It is befitting that their stories end together, side by side again, always together and forever.

I spent alot of time with Aunt Betty and Uncle Ed when I was a child and a teenager. They always encouraged education and development. They were fixtures in my family. I have spent thousands of hours in the home that...

This is a difficult one to write as I have always considered Bette to be a second mom. I remember thinking I was running wild at their home (Now I am certain she was always paying very close attention to us!), the impressive room of freezers (I ended up having a room just like that!), picking homemade TV dinners, TV snacks of cheese and pretzels, pickles at every meal and not having to pincurl my hair at night! I am certain she is in a wondrous place because I cannot imagine it otherwise. ...

Betty was such a big part of my childhood growing up in Piketown. She and Ed were better than the best neighbors and honorary grandparents that anyone could hope for. Betty was kind and generous, smart and funny, thoughtful and just overall one of the most pleasant people you would ever meet. I just wish I had taken the time to make big batches of her delicious fresh corn for the freezer with her and have her teach me how to make sandtarts. I am so thankful for the relationship she had with...

Aunt Beb was my godmother. Spent many good times with her. I will miss you. Godspeed as you go to be with Uncle Ed. love Patti

As a young girl growing up on Dauphin Street in Harrisburg, I remember Betty and her family in their business better known as "The Nut Shoppe". It was located in he 1800 block of N 6th Street, and her dad made the best caramel popcorn in the area. He also sold all kind of fresh roasted nuts. It was a confectioners store, with a small fountain. She and her sisters, especially Eileen were in the shop helping out all the time. Betty was a very sweet gal with a heart of gold. Actually in...

I will miss Aunt Betty. I remember her being a kind, loving person who helped many people. She would take bags of groceries to people who needed it. She always treated me great and I would go out multiple times in the summer to play with my cousins. She and Uncle Ed were very important in my life. She would cook these massive dinners when my Mother, Father, Sister and I would come out for Sunday dinner. Dick Durborow
