I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your mom. My heart goes out to you. Losing a parent is one of the hardest things that we have to go through. We think that they should live forever. Knowing that she is in a better place hopefully will give you comfort. I will be coming home the middle of May and will give you a call. Take care and my prayers are always with you.

I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Bette. She looked so much like Grandmother (Leola) and would always have that infamous smile. I will never forget how none of us can laugh with our eyes open. :) Faith Vassar Kendall

I was so saddened to learn today of Bettye's passing. I have so many wonderful memories of all of you and our family's vacations together. I'm sorry that we lost touch but you are always in my heart along with my mother. I trust they are together again laughing and loving and looking down on us. As you maybe aware, my father has mild alzheimers and is now in assisted living nearby. I will let him know about Bettye He will be very sad, but fortunately or not, he will not remember it for long....

Bettye was such a sweet lady. Always a smile and a welcome. She has been welcomed into Heaven the same way.
