Not sure what to say?

I was just looking for Beuker online, and ran across this. I met him in New Orleans when I was just 18 years old. He encouraged me to go to Tulane's very first Ophthalmic Asst. Course and I worked for him when he was young and still with Dr. Boles. Geez...he was a great friend. I told him I would look him up if when I was old enough to have cataract surgery...and that is precisely what I was doing!!! I am so sorry for you loss.

To the Amann Family:
My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Amann's for ever. I only learned of his death today when the office called alerting me that I needed to reschedule my appointment with him as he had passed away. I was deeply shocked and saddened...we both were. The last time I saw him was in early spring when he told me that I looked dressed for summer. I was wearing white that day. I replied that I was sure it was out there somewhere...and he laughed. My husband and...

My entire life, my Dad, Douglas Rampona, always spoke about his best friend Beuker. From Dad's perspective, Beuker was one of the most gifted people he'd ever met, an incredibly talented surgeon, fantastic mentor, and longtime friend. We are so saddened to hear of his passing.

Mary,
We were shocked to learn Dr Amann had passed. He was a wonderful Dr. and I always felt peace knowing that he would take care of Brittany's eyes. He was so good with kids and his humor helped calm the parents too. I believe the Lord sent him to us when Brittany was small & having so much trouble. Please know that you are in our thoughts & prayers.

I am very regretful that I did not get to spend all of the time with Beuker that I might have been able to. I hope that you're doing okay, Mary, and I offer my condolences. I look forward to reading one of his novels that my father brought back to me.

Dear Mrs. Amann:

Doctor Amann gave me hope and humor in the time I have known him. He was truly a gift from God after years of failing vision. His medical wisdom literally saved my sight. I am enriched by our association, but deeply saddened by the news. I heard about his passing only today, June 30. May the Lord bless you and your family. Tom Bayer
