Beulah Mae Griffith

Beulah Mae Griffith, 85, of Winchester, Virginia, died Tuesday, August 12, 2008 in the Winchester Medical Center.

Mrs. Griffith was born in 1922 in McComas, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Newell King and Rebecca Ann Bryant. She retired in 1988 from Double Day Publishing Company. Mrs. Griffith attended the Senior Citizens Center.

Her husband, Marvin C. Griffith, whom she married on August 11, 1942 in Christiansburg, Virginia, preceded her in death on January 2, 1997.

Surviving is a daughter, Karen M. Robinette of Herndon, Virginia; Marvin C. Griffith, Jr. of Reston, Virginia, Larry D. Griffith of Berryville, Virginia and Chris V. Griffith of Winchester, Virginia; fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Georgia Bryant of Punta Gorda, Florida and Wilma Dunn of Pembrook, Virginia; and a brother, William D. Bryant of Salem, Virginia. She is preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Early and Hilda Oliver and a brother, Robert Cecil Bryant.

A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday at Omps Funeral Home, South Chapel with the Reverend Paul Campbell officiating. Inurnment will be in Shenandoah Memorial Park.
