Mills & Mills Funeral Home and Memorial Park Obituary

Our beloved mother, Bev Contris, passed away peacefully at Saint Peter's Hospital on May 18. She was born to Nelvin and Ann Kjorlaug on September 5, 1925 in Fargo, ND. In June of 1942 she traveled with her aunt Sal to Olympia to visit her cousin Dotta for the summer, planning to return in...

Not sure what to say?

Along with brother Mike and Steve's eloquent words spoken at mom's service, here's what I shared:

Thanks to all of you that came to celebrate our mom’s life.

I’m Dan Contris, the youngest of her 5 sons.

This is a very hard time for all of us. The person that was always there for us, that we could always count on, that always lit up when we saw her is gone.

But we find comfort knowing that she is not suffering anymore. We also find comfort knowing...

The Contris family also would like to thank all that attended Mom's service. She was pleased to see you there, you were all very important to her.

Heartfelt thanks also to Father Kilian Malvey for the wonderful service. We're sure Mom was pleased.

Oh, and did you notice that Mom held off the rain until just after her service? Just Mom once again looking out for all around her! :)

The Contris Family would like to thank the staff of Mills and Mills for the wonderful service they provided for our mother. The service was perfect and even the weather cooperated. Thank you

Bev laid to rest by her sons and oldest grandson

I lov you Grandma Bev and so does Ahrianna. I am very sad to see you go. You were a wonderful grandma and great grandma. I remember coming over Thursday nights and we always got to have ice cream sitting on the blanket in the living room. This isn't good bye because I know I will see you again. I love you.

Dan - We just want to express our condolences and let you know you are in our thoughts during this period of grief. Take solace in the knowlege that the sorrow and pain will fade and fond memories will remain to sustain you in the future. Be strong.

Harriet and Ferd

To all the Contris Brothers and their families: I was so saddened to hear of the loss of your sweet Mother and my cousin, Beverly. I don’t remember a time that Bev wasn’t involved in my life in some way. I have wonderful memories of the many trips we took “Out West” from Texas and all the good times we spent with the Contris and Kjorlaug families. In recent years, my husband David and I both enjoyed our visits to Olympia and were both so pleased to have had the opportunity to spend time...

On behalf of the entire Lee family

Yvonne,

I want to tell you how sorry I am for your loss. Please give my condolences to your husband and your family. Bev was such a nice person and we will all miss her smile.

Sincerely,
Christine Curtis
