Dear Carl and family:
I became a friend to Bev when I met her in a class at Western Theological Seminary. I was so impressed with her hunger for learning, and her joy for ministry; however, as everyone will attest, her loving presence was authentic, and that would leave an impression regardless of where one met her. I was serving as pastor of Wolf Lake UMC at the time. Now I am a chaplain at Hackley Hospital. When I spoke at Lake Harbor UMC one Sunday, she offered to help me at the...

Dear Karl and Family,

I am having a really hard time trying to find words for this entry. I miss her, plan and simple and it's with tears in my eyes that I'm trying to express to you that I'm so sorry for her passing on. I know that she is not hurting anymore and she is in heaven getting her wings, probably right now. She not one to just sit around for long, there are people that need her up there and down here. I loved seeing Bev in church, with a smile as big as life itself....

Jim, the boys and I are saddened with the loss of such a gentle and caring woman. Bev will be missed by all who were blessed to meet her. Your families are in our thoughts and prayers.
