Just imagine how many lives Mrs.McGhee inspired and improved throughout her many years of teaching! My son was virtually a non-reader in the second grade when she began to tutor him. At the end of the fifth grade, he was honored with being the #1 Accelerated Reader in his class. Her positive encouragement in repeatedly saying, "You CAN do hard things" continues to motivate him even now as a VT student.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family and close friends of Mrs. Mcghee. My sisters and I had the pleasure of cleaning for Mrs. Mcghee the last year or so. In doing so, we had the opportunity to get to know her on a personal level and grew to care about her. She was funny and smart and would delight in sharing stories of her family and her beloved cat, Abby. She loved her family and friends and we will miss her. Rest in peace, Mrs. Mcghee
