TUCKER, Beverley Randolph III, of Richmond, Va., born March 22, 1943, died after a courageous battle with lung cancer on November 17, 2010. He is survived by his wife, Mary Madelyn Tucker; daughter, Madelyn Tucker Smith and her husband, Andrew Ira Smith; and two grandchildren, Tucker Woodward Smith and Madeleine Hannah Smith; sister, Elizabeth Austin Tucker and husband, Reverend William Sachs; brother, Thomas Tudor Tucker; niece, Sloan Smith Bruneau and husband, Roger Bruneau; great-nephews, Thomas Turner Bruneau and Austin Boyd Bruneau. Randy graduated from The University of the South, where he was captain of the track team and co-captain of the wrestling team. He was a member of Beta Theta Phi and vice president his senior year. Randy served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of The Country Club of Virginia, The Richmond German Club, past president of the Richmond Cotillion and a member of The Society of Cincinnati. He was one of four founders of the Fly Fishers of Virginia, a life member of Trout Unlimited, Coastal Conservation and was the past and last president of Buckingham Slate Company. Randy was CEO of Madelyn's Inc. for 33 years. There will be a service at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 22.
