Beverly June Allard

Allard, Beverly June (née Atherton), of Holly, Michigan, age 83, died on Thursday, August 24, 2017.

Visitation will be held 1-4pm Monday, August 28, 2017 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint.

There will no service held.

Those desiring may make contributions in Beverly’s name to Michigan Humane Society and Heartland Hospice of Flint’s Memorial Fund.

Beverly was born in Goodrich, Michigan on July 6, 1934. Mrs. Allard retired from Fisher Body-GM in June 1992, where she was employed for 31 years. Starting as a switchboard operator, she rose through the ranks to become one of the first female supervisors at her plant, all while raising three children as a single mother in the 60’s.

The children of Mrs. Allard wish to express their deepest gratitude to Victoria Kelly and the entire staff at Western Hills Living, in addition to the staff of Heartland Hospice, for the incredible care they gave her in her final months. We are eternally grateful to you all for allowing her to be the queen of her shrinking world.

Surviving are 3 children: Bonnie Lynn Petty of California, Jerry Dean and wife Patricia Potts of Alaska, Jeffrey Alan Potts of Clio;

Four step-children: Patricia and husband Richard Riccelli of Texas, Michele and husband Dr. Eduardo Reyes of Arizona, Ronald and wife Anna Allard of California, Matthew and wife Marie Allard of Flint.

Sixteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, brother Richard Atherton of Florida, brother-in-law Clyde and wife Georgie Allard of Grand Blanc.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Allard, parents Carl and June Atherton, brother Robert Atherton, brother-in-law Bruce and wife Mary Jo Allard, parents-in-law Doris and Kenneth Allard.
