Miss Beverly Bivens

I’m 31 almost 32 now she brought the creativity out of me rather it was drawing or writing I remember she said I made one of the best stories she ever read when I wrote the story how my dad died she was my teacher in 4th grade and it sucks im just finding out she gone but she isn’t forgotten I’m posting this on 3-26-2025

Ms Bivens was my 4th and 5th grade teacher at Cass St school. I´m now almost 22 and I still think Ms Bivens was the best teacher I´ve ever had. She would come up to students desks and say "you why you ain´t passing" she´s the funnest teacher I ever had and still sticks with me even to this day. I went back to Cass St a couple years ago because I wanted to say hi but sadly I was told Ms Bivens had retired. RIP to my favorite teacher

Ms. Bivens was my 4th grade teacher in 1987 at Cass Street school. I truly loved her and her class. She always made is feel so special no matter what. My biggest memory of her was when we made globes in her class out of paper mache, what fun times. I used to go visit her even after I had children, she was such a loving person. She was a special woman and will be missed.

Without the mentorship of Ms. Bivens I would not have made through my first year of teaching at Cass Street School. I was fresh out of college and didn't have a clue, she took me under her wing and poured into me. When I was accepted to Howard Univ. for graduate school she told me God had a plan! What a special soul. She is a believer so she is with her father! Rest is Power Ms. Bivens!

I taught with Ms. Bivens at Cass Street School until 2006. She was a great teacher and mentor to me. Sending condolences to her family.
