Dennis Funeral Home - New Orleans Obituary

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the almighty.
Psalm 91

On September 30, 2023, a bright and shining light ceased to shine. Beverly went home to be with the Lord. Sometimes a life briefly crosses others and makes a life-lasting impression. This is such a life.

Beverly M. Childs was born on April 12, 1952 to the late Susie B. Young and Leman Peden. She was the mother of two children whom she loved dearly, Orin C. Osbey and Nikki DiBartolo-Victor. She was the grandmother of seven, Tavia, Orionne, Orin Jr, and Ormon Osbey, Ferman, Ashia and Chance Victor. Great grandmother to Milo Victor and Vice McCall.

Beverly was in the hospitality industry for many years, serving many with her delicious meals. She was a caring and affectionate person who greeted you with her infectious smile and loud hellos. That smile was sure to be displayed in any room. She was good at making us laugh and entertaining us with her singing and dancing. I'm sure you've heard the story of her almost marrying Frankie Beverly and her name would have been Beverly Beverly. She loved her family so much. She was a friend to many and she will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Susie B. Young and Leman Peden. Her siblings Rose Mary Perkins, Marie Ferrand Lewis, Mary Young Banks and Cecil Young. Grandson Jarious Victor and many other loving family members.
Relatives and Friends are welcomed to attend a memorial to celebrate her life on Saturday October 7, 2023
Family and Friends visitation at 1pm
Memorial to follow at 2pm

Beverly you truly will be missed, your wit, your larger than large smile and that smart mouth. I love and miss you already. I am so glad I had the opportunity to instant messenger with you face to face when you called me, we had a few laughs, apologies and some all around good conversation. Rest In Peace Tee Beverly!
