Following his graduation from Monessen High School in 1972, Johnny Played football at Indiana University of Pennsylvania before attending Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science.

To the family and friends of Johnny I extend my heart felt sympathy. The is a tremendous loss to us all. We grew up together and I even went to his Senior Prom together. Johnny and family helped my family during the losses of both of my parents. My heart is heavy because of this loss and because I could not be there to say farewell. However he will never be forgotten.
