Beverly A. Dyer, 90, of Bangor, PA passed away Monday, January 9th, at St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus, in Easton, PA.


Beverly was born in Mt. Bethel, PA on December 3, 1932, a daughter of the late Frederic and Muriel (Groner) Hunt. She was the wife of John A. Dyer. Together they would have celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary on January 17th. Beverly worked as a sewing machine operator & trimmer at various garment mills in the Slate Belt area until retiring.


She was a former member of the St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Plainfield Twp, PA.


In addition to her husband, John, Beverly is survived by two daughters, Nadine Folk, wife of Jim, and Joanne Fekete, wife of Steve, a son, James Dyer, a sister, Patricia Guarry two brothers, Duane and Richard Hunt. 8 grandchildren: Michael Sparrow husband of Amy, Amanda Sparrow wife of David Ott, Jeremy, Deanna, and Casey Dyer, and Geoffrey, Christopher, and Joseph Fekete, 2 great-grandchildren; Eleanor and Matthew, and one step great-grandson Paul Ott. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Sandra Davey and Caroline Fields.


Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Thursday, January 12th at Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 4 Lillian Lane, "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA Family, and friends are invited to call from 1- 2 PM on Thursday, January 12th in the funeral home. The burial will be held at East Bangor Cemetery in East Bangor, PA. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.
