ENGEL, Beverly - Of Flint, age 75, died Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Genesys Regional Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 1PM Saturday, February 21, 2009, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Pastor Aaron Whitman officiating. Burial in Flint Memorial Park. Visitation 5PM-8PM Thursday and 1PM-8PM Friday at the funeral home. Beverly was born in Flint on July 5, 1933 and lived in Warren, MI for several years before moving to the Flint area. In June of 1979, she married Walter Engel. Surviving are husband, Walter; 6 children, Brad and Sandy Gaffney of Washington Township, Paulette and husband Ken Morris of Las Vegas, NV, Cynthia and husband Peter Mischiara of Las Vegas, NV, Cliff Higgins of Flint, Catherine and husband James Teddy of Columbia, TN and Philip Higgins of Las Vegas, NV; 2 step-children, Sharon and husband Dan DiPascale of Rochester Hills, and Kenny and wife Debbie Engel of Las Vegas. NV; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sisters, Gerry Hohn of Burton, Marilyn Risdon of CA; brothers, Cy Worth of Everett, MI, Percy Worth of Gladwin, MI, Carl Worth of Flushing and Mike Worth of Flint. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband, James Gaffney; 2nd husband, Clifford Higgins; parents, Avery and Rachel Worth; granddaughter, Jaime Voodre; and brother, Phillip Worth.
