Beverly Baker Green passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 1, 2025, in Rexburg, Idaho at the age of 93. Beverly was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend.

Beverly was born December 28, 1931, in Teton City, Idaho to parents Thomas E. Baker and Genevieve Rhodes Baker.  Her childhood was spent on the family farm in Moody and in Rexburg, Idaho.  She graduated from Madison High School and went on to attend BYU in Provo, Utah. Beverly served a mission for the LDS Church in San Francisco, California. After returning from her mission, she returned to BYU and graduated with a degree in Business Education.  She taught high school in Salt Lake City for a few years and then moved to Anchorage, Alaska to teach high school.  In Anchorage, Beverly met the love of her life, Billy Leon Green, an airman in the US Air Force.  Beverly and Billy were married in Rexburg in 1964. For the next several years they moved all around the United States and to Japan with the Air Force.  Their first child, Lori, was born in Anchorage and later their only son, Tom, was born in New Jersey, and their last child, Kristi, was born in Okinawa, Japan.  Beverly adored her children and continued to teach elementary school wherever they moved.  After Billy retired from the Air Force, Beverly and Billy moved their family to Rexburg, Idaho.  Beverly continued her teaching career as a beloved 2nd grade teacher at Kennedy for several more years until retirement.

Beverly was a compassionate and fun mother.  She loved her students, too, and worked tirelessly for them.  She loved to read, excelled at cooking and baking, grew beautiful flowers every summer, and loved doting on her grandchildren.  After their children grew up, Beverly and Billy took long motorcycle trips on their Goldwing Motorcycle with a group of dear friends and enjoyed seeing much of the western United States and Canada.  Beverly devoted many hours in service to her church callings. She and Billy served two service missions after their retirement.

Beverly loved to laugh and find humor in life.  She always had a bright smile and a kind word for everyone she met.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Billy, of Rexburg; daughter, Lori (John) Miller of Florida; daughter, Kristi (Don) Lords of Rexburg; sisters Helen Jones and Louise Baker; brothers Kay Baker and Reed Baker; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Thomas Green, sisters Lucille Whorlton, Margie Jensen, and Bonnie Withers.

Beverly’s services will be held at Eckersell Funeral Home (101 West Main Street, Rigby, ID 83442), Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home Friday, September 5, 2025 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. Interment will follow services at Teton-Newdale Cemetery.

Not sure what to say?

Beverly was a wonderful aunt. I loved that she always had a smile on her face and was genuinely interested in everyone she met. You couldn’t say her name without Billy right behind itlike peanut butter and jelly. I will always remember her for her ground pork egg roll recipe that she shared with Margie when she returned from Okinawa, Japan. It is a family favorite. I will miss her dearly. May the memories you have of her stay forever close to your heart.❤

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Daughter of Hazel and LeVear Evans a relative.

My sincere condolences and love go out to you. From, Diana Janson
