Not sure what to say?

Hallesy family-4 years have passed and we still think aboutBob-Bev and the family. Ellie and I are still doing well-miss you all -take care- love Harry Gaykian

I miss you dear friend and hate that I never got to say good-bye. I miss your wisdom & creativity & joy of life. Thank you for teaching my children and teaching them simple joys and life skills. Love you always

I met Bev at the Hallesy Reunion organized by my cousin Colleen. Now, Colleen has joined her siblings, Uncle Tom and Aunt Gert. Oh my gosh, now Jan and I are the oldest grandchildren left from the big family of Thomas Patrick and Laura Horton Hallesy. I had to google this to learn about your mom's passing. We cousins are not as good about keeping in touch as our parents were. I'm sorry that Bev passed and that we had lost our connection. I enjoyed her wit and good humor very much. And I know...

Two years have passed but Bob and Bev are always in my memories. And the awesome kids.

From the Philippine Islands to Southern Illinois, over 60 years---Bob and Bev were our best friends. Miss them ----and all the kids. ----Harry & Ellie Gaykian

Dana, I can't think of your mother without remembering the day we skipped school and your mom caught us at the doughnut shop "Well wonders never cease"! I still laugh thinking about it. I also think about all the times she shuttled us around in the "Fury" . Your mom and dad were the best. I don't have a single memory from those elementary and high school years without your family in them. I still make doughnuts out of biscuits like your mom did. You and your entire family are in my prayers.

So sorry for your family's loss. Bev was a wonderful teacher with so much compassion and shared her love of God with her all students. She was so loving and caring to all, always remembering to send a birthday card or even a picture years later of one of my children that had been in her class. She was a much loved and classy lady!!

To Beverley's family I am so sorry for your loss. She was such a strong guiding light to so many. I will never forget how she taught us in such a way that made learning so fun. Some of the best memories were of social studies class and include a Luau when we learned about the Hawaiian Islands or when we discussed Japanese culture with the appropriate food and beautiful Kimonos. She was a true hands on teacher and i recall she had a person from Louisana tell us about the City of New Orleans...

Mrs. Hallesy-- what a legend! What an inspiration-- one of the reasons I became a teacher myself. An incredibly special lady, to be sure! I still remember spending the night and waking up to her singing us awake with "Bloom, Bloom, Bloom where you're planted!" What a blessing to all those who knew her! Thoughts, prayers, and hugs to the Hallesy family and friends.
