Not sure what to say?

Just thinking of You Mama Missing You Always. Rejoicing to know you're much better now...

My heart is broken learning Bev passed. I moved from the Cleveland area three years ago and lost touch with, as I called her, "Elder Bev". She was genuine and real! I miss her spirit in the earth.

Beverly was a life long friend of mine. We worked together at City Hall. We had our children around the same time. We bought houses around the same time. We were like sisters. Rest in peace my sister. Lorraine Barnes

My deepest condolences and prayers to the family.

I'm so saddened to hear that Rev. Beverly Johnson has passed away. She was a great friend to our family. She was there for me when my mom passed and when a close cousin of mines passed. She was a beautiful woman and talking about always sharp! That was her for sure. She was so kind. She is really going to be missed. Sending prayers to the family. May she Rest in Peace

I called her Rev she called me Gina Mae even though I don't have a middle name she gave me that one, she was/is a very special person I worked with her at the sheriff's department. She always made me smile every time she was around. The stories I can tell, all good most funny and up lefting She was very good at making people feel special. We lost contact through the year's but she was always in my heart. Rev I'm sure you are making the angel's smile. Just like you made me smile. Love you. ...

I called her Pastor Bev and she called me Jan Jan. Our close friendship goes back over 30 years. When God sent her to walk with me in ministry. She taught me so much, but she also was the one that could give me a holy ghost spanking when I was doing wrong. That deep friendship allowed us to spend much time together and going to dinners and concerts and sit and see who can eat the most chicken wings. But the best thing of all was She married me in my husband Russell Thompkins on on October 25,...

Words cannot express my LOVE & admiration for you Elder Bev. You were the epitome of a Godly Woman. You shared your goodness with any and everyone you encountered. You left noone feeling unloved. You nursed so many of us back to emotional good health through grief recovery classes. You were a champion for Christ. Thank you Shonda for sharing your mom w/ us for all these years.
This one will be felt long and hard.
Until we meet again. Rest well.
Leslie Bates
