Beverly JOHNSON Obituary

Beverly A. Johnson passed away May 30, 2025, which would have been her husband, John's 89th birthday, from a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born December 27, 1937, in Spokane. She graduated from Marycliff High School in 1955. Bev was a wonderful mother to Jeff (Kathy), Kathy Zinkgraf (Gerry), Howard (Cynthia), Theresa Belknap (John), and Jennifer Zeutschel (Craig). Bev loved her 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren more than anything. She is also survived by her sister, Janet Durall. Bev was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Prouty; and her husband, John, who passed away April 10, 2025.

Bev was owner and operator of the Dairy Queen on Sprague and Bowdish with her husband from 1968 to 1982. She was a CNA at many assisted living facilities in the Spokane area as well as private home care. She enjoyed golfing, gardening, working puzzles, embroidering dish towels, and she especially enjoyed visits with her grandchildren. She will be missed by all but is free at last of the horrible disease of Alzheimer's. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Spokane or a charity of your choice. A Celebration of Life for Bev and John will be held at Trailhead Event Center in Liberty Lake, on July 31, 2025, from 2-4 PM.
