Beverly Manne1926-2020Beverly Maisel Manne died on October 22, 2020, in Houston, Texas, at age 94. Whatever the official cause of death was, Beverly probably had it right: "I'm a decrepit old lady!" Not sure what to say?

Beverly became my "Jewish" mother shortly after we became her next door neighbor in Baytown. Richard was still with us then. I admired her a great deal and didn´t know half of her accomplishments! I missed her so much when she moved to Houston. I hoped she considered me her "Catholic" daughter. God bless!

Group of 10 Memorial Trees

We didn’t know your mom or your family. A friend in Houston saw her memorial and shared it with several friends because she was touched by her life’s story. So glad she did! It makes us smile. It inspires us. It makes us hopeful we can be a bit more like her.

Your mom was a true American hero ♀ .

We hope you find some peace and comfort in knowing her courage, strength, independence and love live on through all of you and those many lives she touched.

Sending heartfelt condolences to all of Beverly's family. I'm grateful for all she did for our Baytown community. May peace be upon her and may her memory be a blessing.

I was lucky to spend a few days with Beverly in Houston in 2017. Beverly was a very smart and sharp woman, with a great sense of humor, and we had a...

Eternal Friendship Remembrance Bouquet - VASE INCLUDED

Growing up in Baytown (Lakewood subdivision) in the 1950's I remember the Manne family as friends of my parents. We lived on Mayhaw Drive and they on the street behind us on Hackberry Lane. Perhaps the reason my mom got along as well with them is because both she and Beverly were both Yankees from New York, at a time when that was a social disqualifier for many. What else I remember vividly is the social consciousness, political awareness and commitment to justice and equality the family...

Sending my love and prayers to the entire Manne clan. Beverly was truly an amazing woman and it was wonderful reading her beautifully and perfectly written eulogy. I loved her and trusted her completely because she was just as blunt as I am. She was incredibly giving and wise and when asked for advice she gave the absolutely best advice ever! Her life was full and rich. Her greatest legacy and fruits are her beautiful family. Mannes and McGregors, you are all on my heart and in my prayers.
