May the Peace of the Risen Lord keep you soul close to His heart!!

Mrs Matthews was one my first teachers at St James after moving there in 5th grade. She made a life long impression in my life to wear I can remember it so clear to sitting in her classroom from friday night bingos . She was a wonderful and caring person but new how to keep us in line. She was a major part of my journey at St James and I will miss her dearly . To the whole Matthews family and beyond I am so trully sorry for your loss and she will be missed by so many .. - Aimee Morgan Chase

Mrs. Matthews was my mom's first grade partner when she started teaching at St. James. I was in their classes that first year and spent many hours with them after school. I will never forget those days and how Mrs. Matthews always made us laugh. She was a great teacher. I was very shocked and saddened by her passing and my thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family.

To the Family of Beverly Mathews,
Bev was one of my daughter, Dana's, teachers at St. James. A wonderful teacher and a beautiful person. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all. May God's comfort surround you during this most difficult time.

Always a smile on her face and a twinkle of fun in her eyes... we shared many memorable times as faculty members of St. James. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Rest in peace, my friend

I am so sorry for you loss. She was such a wonderful teacher and inspiration to all who knew her. Thoughts and prayers to you all.

Kari & Mike-
Spotted notice of Bev's passing while reading the CT Post online.
I am so saddened. Such as dear lady, such a huge loss.
She lit up the room with her warmth and positive energy.
My deepest sympathy to you and your whole family.

I remember Mrs.Mathews with great admiration. She allowed me to teach her students to make rosaries in her classroom once a week for nine years. She is now resting with our blessed mother in heaven. Rest in peace, Irene LaPorte
