Not sure what to say?

Bev was a dear friend and colleague. I will miss our talks in the halls of Eddy. Seeing Bev always brightened my day. She was a fighter, and she will be missed. Sending love and prayers to her family.

Although we lost contact many years ago, memories of teaching with Bev in the 80's, dinner nights every week as single moms with our kids--one week, at her home, and the next, at mine--long talks about literature, politics, social and gender issues, and making a pact that if one of us won the lottery we'd buy the other the appliance of her choice--will always be fond memories held close in heart. So sad for Jesse and Emily in the loss of their mom-and for all her family and those who love...

Bev and I were each others' dates for Shae Sarmiento's quinceanera ~

Bev was a wonderful neighbor for the 14 years that we've lived down the street from her. We spent many hours hanging out in each other's yards talking about flowers, baseball and family. She was a great spirit, and the neighborhood won't be the same without her. Our deepest condolences to her family - my mom died at about the same age, and I know how hard it is to lose a loving mother who is so young.

All my sympathy to Bev's family and friends. I worked with Bev for 16 years at Colorado State. It seems impossible that I won't hear her strong, wry voice anymore at work; that we won't share the successes and challenges of undergraduate teaching. She showed me how to be a decent colleague. I loved how we shared teaching war stories with each other, looking over our shoulders and speaking in hushed voices in Eddy Hall, giggling about the latest amazement in our classes. Students are usually...

Bev will be missed so greatly in the halls of Eddy-- she worked so hard and cared so much about all of us. I'm so thankful that I had her as a teacher, mentor and friend! My heart goes out to all who loved her.

I remember well Bev's vibrant contributions to the work of the English Department. Her energy, sense of humor, and dedication to her students were legendary. Though I'll be in Canada when the service is held, my thoughts will be with you all.

Wonderful teacher, colleague, friend. I will miss her. My deep sympathy to Emily, Jesse, and all their family.

Bev's positive energy and humor highlighted my interaction with her. I taught with Bev in the mid-80s in the CSU English Dept., and I admired her commitment to the students, and always, her family. I am so sorry for your loss. Nancy McKinley
