Rigby Harting and Hagan Funeral Home - Media Obituary

Beverly Anne Morrison, age 71, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, passed away on February 23, 2025 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.  Beverly was a longtime resident of Absecon, NJ before recently moving to Nottingham, PA.  Born in Delaware County to the late H. Raymond Morrison and Martha née Sisk, Beverly spent her formative years in Springfield, PA.

Beverly lived briefly in Cleveland, OH before settling for nearly 40 years in Absecon.  She worked as a Teacher’s Aide with the Absecon Board of Education for many years.  Beverly was an active member of Absecon United Methodist Church where she sang in the church choir and helped teach Sunday School.

The ultimate Philadelphia sports fan, Beverly loved the Phillies and Eagles.  She enjoyed working with her hands and was skilled with needlepoint, crafts, crocheting, and gardening.  In her free time, she liked to work on puzzles and spend time with family, especially her grandson and grandniece.

Beverly is survived by her daughter Kelly Danvers, son Rob Morrison, and grandson Ronan Morrison. She is also survived by siblings Donna Hihn and Gary Morrison as well as 2 nephews, 1 niece, 2 great nephews, and 5 great nieces.

Friends and family are welcome to celebrate Beverly’s life on Monday, March 3, 2025 at Rigby Harting & Hagan Funeral Home.  There will be a visitation from 10-11 am with her funeral service beginning at 11 am.  Burial will follow at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens.

Not sure what to say?

Really miss you

First Grade @ Oakdale. Bev 2nd row in the middle. We sat next to each other.

Singing in Jr High

Bev and I were friends from first grade at Oakdale on to being seniors at Springfield High School. She brought me into Rainbow Girls. We shared the love of singing. I reconnected with her back in about 2015 and she came to my wedding reception in Chadds Ford, PA. We would exchange Christmas cards or email once in a while, and she would tell me about herself and her kids and grandkids. She will be missed. Sending my condolences to her family.

Bev and I were friends way back in Springfield. We were in school together, went to the shore together (with our husbands), attended each others weddings, and celebrated our 21st birthdays together. I remember a crazy fun week when we were both guests of her future in-laws at Wildwood NJ. We both moved to different areas and stayed in touch but not like we did when we were young. I did reconnect in the last few years but the last time we spoke was around thanksgiving. I'm sorry I didn't...

Bev was a wonderful teacher’s aide for our daughter Mary. She always made Mary feel comfortable and helped her to enjoy her days at school. Our thoughts and prayers are with Bev’s family- she will be missed.

Bev taught me so much as a teacher's aide. I always admired her patience, playfulness, and talent with the children. I've known her through church and admired her singing in the choir. Prayers to her family for whom she loved. For many years I would print the invitations for the family reunions. I know how much she looked forward to them and time with her family. God bless.

Ms Morrison is a memorable person for our family. We extend our deepest condolences to her family. Praying for comfort and peace during this time.
