Not sure what to say?

To all Bev's family and friends we just heard yesterday that he has passed on. From all his friends at Bay Hill, and the Media Room for the Tournament, you will be sorely missed. We enjoyed all the times we shared with you, and your encouragement to get us started in the business .We are hoping we can have a memorial service here for you in Orlando. Steve and Jill Hosid, Bay Hill

I am one of the many members of the golf media "family" so wonderful touched by Bev during my 20 years as an employee of the U.S. Golf Association. Also a caring friend and always a dedicated pro, Bev was the best at his craft. He always was an inspiration. Always will be.

My deepest sympathy to all the Norwood family. Bev was my dear friend, such a great guy. I always looked forward to seeing him in Augusta...I will miss him terribly.

Betsy Gentry Greenway, Camden, South Carolina

Alma and I knew Bev well growing up and followed Bev's career as a sports writer. Bev was a friend and helper to all he knew. We will miss him. Our prayers to his family in this time of sorry.

I worked with Bev at the Winston-Salem Journal, and although he was in sports and I was on the general news copy desk, there were many occasions when several of us could gather and talk. I'll always remember Bev's ability to talk, at length, on just about any subject and with great enthusiasm. It was a real pleasure to know him. My sincere sympathy goes out to the family.

Bernie, Buddy and Jane, Neil and Ginnie and family-I'm so very sorry for your loss and my thoughts are with all of you. Bev was a dear friend to me and such a special person. Bev will forever have a special place in my heart.

Bernie , Buddy & Jane, Neil and Ginnie and all other family members. I cannot tell you how devastated I am about Bev-As a childhood friend and as a grown-up friend, he was the best. I loved him like a brother and I will miss him greatly. You have my deepest sympathy-

Deepest sympathy to Bernadette, Buddy and Jane, Neil and virginia in the loss of your husband and brother.

Bernadette. Please accept our sympathy on your loss. Clark and Phyllis Gerber
