Beverly Ann Parfitt was born in Seattle on August 27th 1925, the daugher of Thomas Jacobs and Margaret Beaman. Her father worked as a professional band musician, and when times got tougher, he went to work in the mills on the Olympic peninsula sawing shingles (and ultimately losing some fingers...thus ending his music carreer).
