Curtis-Britch & Bouffard Funeral Home - Newport Obituary

Beverly (Nault) Robitaille, 91, went to rest with the Lord on March 14, 2019.

She was born to the late Frank and Lena (Garey) Nault, on February 9, 1928 in Lyndonville, VT.  Beverly graduated from Barton Academy in 1946 where she was proud to be a cheerleader. On June 25, 1949, she married Harvey Robitaille, the love of her life, who survives her. Beverly took much pride in her career as a Nurse’s Aide at Orleans County Memorial and North Country Hospital where she eventually worked as an radiology department assistant.  She was an active member of the Daughters of Isabella and the American Legion Auxiliary. Bev’s role as a cheerleader continued as she became very involved in Girl Scouts right along with her girls and transported her boys to Jay Peak for skiing with her youngest son riding next to her the whole way.  She loved knitting and sewing. She had a love for animals. Bev enjoyed fishing, hiking, and doing other things outside with her family including family cookouts and trips to Maine. She had a love of music including playing the piano with her grandchildren. She was sure to give a big smile to anyone she met and would always stand in the window waving good-bye to her visitors as they left.

Beverly is survived by her husband, Harvey Robitaille, of Newport, VT, her children: Anne Robitaille of FL; Robin Robitaille and his wife Gail of Barton, VT; Judith Robitaille-Dunklee and her husband Stan of Barton, VT; Pamela Emery and her husband Howard of Newport Center, VT; Anthony Robitaille and his wife Stephanie of Williston, VT; Joseph Robitaille and his wife Robin of Milton, VT; and Timothy Robitaille of Newport, VT.  She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews and their families. In addition, Beverly is survived by her brothers Donald Nault, Ralph Nault and Roy Nault along with her sister, Millie Nault-Gero. Beverly was predeceased by her sisters, Lucille Dowhen and Gloria Boulanger, and her sister-in-law, Dee Nault.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Newport. In lieu of sending flowers, the family encourages people to make memories by getting outside to spend time with their families, cook a favorite old recipe, and plant a tree or go for a hike in memory of Bev’s sweet soul. On-line condolences at curtis-britch.com. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Curtis-Britch-Converse-Rushford & Bouffard Funeral Home, locally family owned and operated.

Not sure what to say?

Harvey and kids, I only today learned of Bev's passing. I recall with fond remembrances, the great stories Joan, Henry and Bernice would tell of their times in Newport. I remember my visits with Joan to visit you and Bev. Bev was a very special and remarkable woman. I imagine the stories are continuing with smiles, a few tears and joyous memories.

Dear Uncle Harvey and family, I was so saddened to learn of Aunt Bev's passing. I'm sure I don't need to tell you that she was a ray of sunshine, a beautiful soul. I always remember the energy and kindness that just exuded from her. And that smile! She could light up the sky with that smile! A beautiful woman with a beautiful personality. May she rest in peace. And peace be with all of you.

Our deepest sympathy to Harvey and the whole family of Beverly Robitaille.
We have known the Robitaille family for many years. Most of them were associated with us through
work as they were always helping us out one way or another. May she rest in peace.
We just returned from Florida , so sorry we missed the funeral.
Durward and Lorraine Starr

A great woman with a great smile. She and Harvey gave rise to a great family of athletes. Much love from the Lemnah family.

Harvey and family: Sorry to hear of Beverly's passing. Knowing she is in the hands of the Lord Almighty is a comforting thought, and the memories of your years together I am sure are wonderful. God Bless you and your family, Harvey. Stay well. Jim and Andy Hall

I was blessed to have located you (via internet) dear Robitaille family in time to connect her niece Dorothy (& me, her daughter) with Aunt Bev & Uncle Harvey. The all too short time we met & shared together was both precious & priceless. As I drove into the driveway that first time at the Pleasant St home, I remember her greeting us with wide open arms & such a beautiful smile so excited to meet & share family stories with us. She & Uncle Harvey were gracious, loving, & caring & will always...

Every time we had a visit from Aunt Beverly and Uncle Harvey , I was always happy to see them.I loved listening to all of their adventures, and they always spoke highly of their family, and the enjoyment they got from their grandchildren and great grandchildren.I will miss listening to their enjoyment of life and the happiness they had for each other.May our Lord hold her hand during her next journey, and prayers are said for Uncle Harvey and their family during this most sorrowful time.

Our sincerest condolences to the whole family. Bev was a wonderful person.
