Beverly Louise (Farrington) Roderick, 70, of Elm Terrace, North Attleboro, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 29, 2003 at her residence. She was the wife of the late George W. “Babe” Roderick to whom she was married for 51 years and who died on December 29, 2002.
Born in China, Maine on January 23, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Isabelle (Pierce) Farrington. She was raised and educated in Maine where she resided until moving to the North Attleboro area 50 years ago. She was a homemaker dedicated to her family.
While living at the Elm Terrace complex, she was a member of the Elm Terrace Residents Association having also served as the association’s president. She was a sports enthusiast and especially liked football and baseball.
She leaves two stepsons: George W. Roderick of Fruitland Park, Florida and Daniel L. Roderick of Bangor, Maine; two sisters: Lois Bigford of Brunswick, Maine and Carmen Stowe of South China, Maine; 8 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was the paternal grandmother of the late Timothy J. Roderick.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Friday, October 3, 2003 at 12:00 PM at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Towne Street, North Attleboro with the Rev. Bruce Collard, officiating. Burial will follow.
Visitation has been respectfully omitted.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lenore’s Pantry, c/o North Attleboro Town Hall, 43 South Washington Street, North Attleboro, MA 02760.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, Village of Attleboro Falls, North Attleboro.
