Not sure what to say?

Dear Roe Family, I started teaching in the math dept at South campus in 1980 until 2014 AND Bev was one of (the first and) most welcoming, vivacious teachers I was fortunate to meet. She helped me sooo much and TRULY her smile was infectious! She was the best, and I loved her dearly. Such a legacy she leaves with us and always will be thought of with warm memories. She lives on in our hearts forever. Cindi Landrigan

I had the distinct pleasure of sharing 12 years of a professional relationship with Bev who approached her work with intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm. She represented her students, faculty, and academic discipline with an unrelenting dedication. I am glad to have had the opportunity to be a part of her tenure at SUNY Erie.

Bev´s infectious smile in the photo above brought to mind what a pleasure and what an honor it was to be in her presence. She was a serious educator who brought great joy to her students and to her colleagues. I am thinking even now of her wondrous tales. Many times she made me both proud and happy to be a part of ECC. Please accept my sincere condolences.

Dearest Professor Fay & family, I am so sad to hear of Dr. Roe´s passing. She was the most amazing microbiologist and had been so inspiring ! I wish I could thank her for all her support and encouragement! I´ll never forget her, her wit & humor, and her kindness. God bless her forever. RIP. My heartfelt condolences to you all.

Fay, Kevin and Joe, I feel privileged in having known Bev. Her beautiful smile, infectious laugh and intelligence will be greatly missed! I am so sorry for your loss. Please call on me if I can do anything to help you during this difficult time.

I am so sorry to learn of Bev´s passing. Although we taught at different ECC campuses, she at South, I at North, we often communicated about our common courses (microbiology), attended seminars and conferences together, and worked together on committees. We worked well together and I enjoyed her company. She will be missed. I will always remember her kindness to attend my Mom´s funeral home visitation. I was so touched by her presence. I am currently out of town and cannot extend my...

Fay, Do you remember me.? I saw Bev's obituary in the paper and want to send you my sympathy. I was at your wedding reception and remember that happy time. So glad you had so many happy years together!! Take care, my old friend. Zona Navelle Shreves
