I am very sorry for the loss of Bill, a close friend for many years. We worked together for many years, getting promotions on the same day in 1968. We enjoyed going on the USS INDEPENDENCE on family day, taking a short cruise out of Alameda Naval Base, and flying together in light airplanes.
Sorry for the loss to the family, and all of his friends will miss him also.

BA, San Jose

To the Mundy family, sorry for your loss, may GOD give you STRENTH, LOVE, and PEACE, in this time of sorrow. He will be missed by alot of chocolate lovers. His family will miss the man that he was. May he R.I.P <3

Dear Marifran
I was so sorry to hear about Bill's passing. He was a true gentle man, who cared. He was my little league coach at Lincoln Glen (Family Pharmacy). He would always reinforce, just do your best and remember, have fun. When my Dad told me you and Bill owned Schurra's Chocolate I had to come by to say hello. We talked about how Little League baseball had changed and how much fun it was for both of us. Though many years had gone by, Bill was still the same as I remembered,...

I was very sorry to hear of Bill's passing. I had met him briefly at the funeral service for Myrtle Bay who had worked at the candy store til she was 95 years old and lived to 106. I told Bill I needed to start adding his chocolate to MY diet to live longer.
Last week I did the service for Myrtle's daughter,Dorothy, who passed away and we happened to be speaking of Bill. Little did we know that Bill would be leaving as well. I did not know Bill ..but knew of him He was a kind and generous...

I had the opportunity to meet Bill over over a decade ago through a company I was working for. It was a very brief meeting, but he was a true gentleman. His wife was there too. A very nice woman as well. While I didn't know Bill with exception of a couple of meetings, he seemed like a very solid guy. I wish the family the best.

I'm a Class of '72 graduate of Bellarmine (just down The Alameda a ways from Schurra's) and have been fortunate to have enjoyed Schurra's awesome chocolate for the past 40 years. THANK YOU Mr. Mundy - you were a terrific guy who always had a smile for folks.

Bill was like a grandfather to me. I will always remember his kindness to me as a child, when trips to Schurra's meant a treat of turtles or pecan logs. I remember how for the longest time, a thank you postcard I sent from Space Camp was on the wall behind the register. The Mundys had sent my roommates and me a box of Space Camp logo mint chocolate crisps. I remember how Bill and Marifran sat in the stands with my family when I graduated San Jose State, and, how in March, they both came to my...

I'm truly, very sorry for the loss of Bill. I'm very glad to have known him..My heart goes out to you all.

I am very sorry for your lose. Be strong and GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY.
