Not sure what to say?

I was fortunate to know Bill in Creative Nonfiction classes over the past couple of years. I loved hearing his stories and appreciated the opportunity to learn a little about him. On two occasions, when I wrote especially revealing essays that were difficult for me to read out loud, Bill's comments were so supportive that they brought tears to my eyes. I knew him to be a kind, thoughtful, insightful and gentle man and I feel honored to have had the opportunity to engage with him even for this...

Susan,

I am thinking of you at this difficult time. The wonderful memories of your time together will sustain you. Believe me, I know.

Susan... My condolences. Sending support and loving thoughts your way.

To The Family, my prayers are with you all. I pray for your peace and love for each other as you all go through these trying times. In Jesus Name, Amen!

I had the privilege and the pleasure of getting to know Bill a bit over the past eight years as we spent many a Tuesday or Wednesday afternoon in Linda Tuthill's writing classes. His essays and stories made me smile and made me think. His comments on the writing of others were insightful and thoughtful. He welcomed and encouraged new writers. I loved the curiosity and enthusiasm with which he explored the world and new ideas.

Bill was a member of the writing class where I heard his wonderful thoughts put to paper so many times. I was in awe at his thought-provoking essays filled with love for life, family, friends, and the creative process. A touching moment I will always recall is while reading a very emotional piece to the class, I was overcome with emotion. Bill gently took my essay from my hands and read the final paragraph. A loving man he was. I send you my sincerest condolences.
