I was not aware of Bill's passing until I attempted to contact him this week of February 2023. Carolyn, please accept my condolences on the passing of your beloved Bill. He has been a friend since our days of studying Chemistry at Northwestern and, in recent years, have chatted in infrequent phone conversations. He will be missed. Carolyn, I send best wishes for your health while you recover from your loss.

Judge Brister (Bill) stood tall among the finest men I have ever known. I met Judge Brister in Lubbock; when he moved to Dallas he became Bill and a good friend. Bill was a man of faith who loved God, his family and his friends. He will be missed but not forgotten. Rest in peace dear friend.
