Not sure what to say?

Towards the end of his career at WCPO, Bill was a competitor of mine when I started as General Manager of WXIX - and a worthy competitor was he. After his retirement, we had lunch at Max and Erma's (our spot) in Rookwood 3-4 times a year. He became a good friend and mentor to me as I'm sure he was to so many others. I admired his work ethic, intelligence, service to our country and most importantly - his integrity. A great man who will be missed.

Bill was a kind, thoughtful gentleman. He made the world a better place.

Bill gave me my start in broadcasting in 1979. I was his intern the summer before my senior year at UC. He was the Promotions Director at the time and later helped me get my first real job at WBTI - Channel 64. Eventually I got on at Channel 9. Bill was an amazing, compassionate man and I never forgot his support. Rest in peace, Bill. Prayers to his family.....

Bill will always remain in our memory. What a gentleman and dear friend, who will be missed by all of us. Our times together at WHHS reunions in Cincinnati were made more memorable by the pre-reunion celebrations at Sally and Bill's home throughout the years. We are all better off for having known him and for being able to call him our friend. Our sincerest condolences to Sally and his family.

Farewell Too Soon Bouquet

Sally - My sincere condolences to you and your family. Bill was always a friend to all of us in the Silverton/Kennedy Heights area as we grew up and attended WHHS. I know Paul Braden lived just down the street from Bill and were good friends through our growing up years. I can honestly say that there was never a time through the years that I didn't think of Bill when I drove by Sampson Lane. Peace and love to you and your family.

Bill, Rest in peace young man. And may your family take comfort in the memories of a life well lived. Thank you for your service in Viet Nam and 'welcome home'.
