Not sure what to say?

He was a good friend. I wish I was able to know him better, but work took me away from the area.

To the Hancock Family: I was the Budget Director when Bill Hancock was a County Commissioner. I will never forget the day the City and County met "En Banc" to decide funding of mutual organizations. At the time, the City and County voted to un-fund Planned Parenthood. I walked with Bill and my boss back to the Courthouse. Bill was so angry and said "They don't understand what it means to be poor." That meant the world to me. He was watching out for others, and not just himself. A great...

I had the pleasure of knowing Bill when I worked for Sedgwick County. He was a thoughtful and accessible Commissioner and a true gentleman with a ready smile. Condolences

To the family,I send my deepest condolences. Bill was a fine human being and a dedicated public servant. May he rest in peace and may his family live in peace knowing the good he did in his life.

I am so very sorry to hear about Bill's passing. I graduated from high school with both Bill and his wife Kathy Hancock. Bill was very well liked by his fellow classmates and everybody that knew Bill. Bill will be missed by many. I am sending my prayers to his friends and family.

Bill Hancock was a great guy. I got to know him through politics and county government. He did a great job as County Commissioner. Every time I saw him he had a smile on his face and greeted you as a friend. After his days as County Commissioner we didn't have opportunities to stay closer. He will be greatly missed in our community.

Bill and I first met thru political events and then WagonMasters. But we thought we might have played together as children. My Mother and I went to the Orchard to pick fruit every year. As we were the same age, we had to have come into contact. He was a great guy and will be missed.

Kansas Trapshooting Association sends its deepest sympathy to the family of Bill. From the Officers, Directors and Members of the KTA.

A great public servant. He always put a smile on my face!
