Heartfelt condolences to the Hartman family on the passing of Bill. He was a true newspaperman who firmly believed that opinions should be reserved for the editorial page. I first got to know him during my time as a sportswriter at the Beaumont Enterprise & Journal. Later we got reacquainted when I served as Director of Communications for the Houston Golf Association and Secretary/Treasurer of the Texas Golf Association.
