Not sure what to say?

Bill James treated everyone with respect and was an outstanding public servant. As a teenage file clerk at the State Attorney's Office, I recall many times when he would stop and chat. Many in Tampa's legal community were inspired by his integrity and service.

Mr. James is sadly missed. I am forever grateful for his kindness and generosity. It was a great pleasure to work for him. My husband and daughters join me in expressing our sincere condolences to Gloria and family.

Bill was a kind and gentle man. He was always interested in what was going on in other people's lives. He never failed to inquire about parents, spouses and children. He enjoyed his life so much, he wanted everyone around him to enjoy the ride. My sympathy to Gloria and the family.

I didn't know Bill until after he had retired but, as a member of the James, Hoyer lawfirm, I came to know him over the last 12 years. He was always so kind and personable and he will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers to Gloria and the rest of the family.

Bill was my boss over thirty years ago. To this day I have never known a finer, more decent man than Bill. He was a model of what every public servant should be. God, we'll miss him.

Although I did not personally know Bill, I knew him by his great reputation. As a retired FBI Agent, I wish I would have had the opportunity to work with him when he was with the US Attorney's Office in Tampa. He was an accomplished prosecutor, a talented lawyer and most of all, a great human being. My deepest sympathy to you on his passing.

Bill was a good decent man and a great public servant. As a former State Attorney I had a deep respect for his integrity and his abilities. He will be missed by many.

Bill and Gloria have been my friends since childhood. They were indeed a remarkable and very special pair!! Bill will be sadly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

I knew and respected Bill when he was an active member of the Temple Terrace Presbyterian Church. He and Gloria were missed when they moved away and his death saddens me.
