Read MoreI knew Billy from our Grand Rapids Civic Theatre days. I was in trouble and homeless, so Billy offered to marry me and, along with Frank, take care of me. At the time it meant everything to have such true friends. We have not met or talked in 50 years, but his, and Frank's, loving gesture still lives vividly in my heart.

I was sorry to read that Bill passed away. I became acquaited with Bill when we both attended Davenport Business School here in G.R. I've enjoyed reading about his acting career over the years and yes - he was "a fine actor" and "a sweet man". My condolenses to his family and his close friends.
