BILL R. NEWCOMB Valparaiso, Indiana Bill R. Newcomb age 62, passed away in Mountain Home, Arkansas on March 21, 2009. He was a lifetime resident of Valparaiso, Indiana. Bill worked for US Steel retiring after 40 years of service. He was the owner of Newcomb Bike Shop for 25 years. Bill always enjoyed fishing with his boys, which both were his love. He was an associate member of the Howlin Mad Detachment Marine Corps League. Bill is survived by his 3 sons, Bryan (Sandy) Newcomb, Kevin (Annette) Newcomb and Billy (Sharon) Newcomb; daughter, Billie (Les) Voshell; 6 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Chuck (late Carol) Newcomb of Hobart and Julian (Mary) Newcomb of Valparaiso; 2 sisters, Martha (Jack Jr.) Coffey of Plano TX, and Mary (Truman Jr.) Nelson of Lake Station; son, Mark Kiger of Hobart; many nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles O. and Martha Elizabeth Newcomb, Sr., one sister, Teal, and nephew, Chuckie. A visitation for Mr. Newcomb will be Thursday, March 26, 2009 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Rees Funeral Home, 600 W. Old Ridge Rd., Hobart, with Bob Lothenore officiating. Dad,I'm sorry i did you wrong in the past and i wish i could of got to show you how sorry i am. I have so many memories of us in Arkansas and thats what keeps me going. Sorry to hear about bills passing, I remember the last time i ran into him at family express in portage, he snuck up behind me while i getting gas, and scared me to death. i thought i was getting robbed. I turned around and it was bill playing a joke.he was such a friendly person. may heaven shine.
