Billy Ray "Bill" Nipper, Sr.

Billy Ray "Bill" Nipper, Sr., age 80 of Dowelltown, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013.

He was a native of Williamson County and the son of the late Leroy and Delia Lannom Nipper. He lived most of his life in Rutherford County.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Frances Crowell Nipper, who died in 2001.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Jimmy Barrett and Ken Elkins will officiate. Burial will follow in Coleman Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Young Nipper; sons, Billy Ray Nipper, Jr. and his wife Betty, Michael Wayne Nipper and his wife Faye, both of Murfreesboro; daughter, Janice Darlene Adams and her husband Andy of Lascassas; brothers, Johnny Nipper of PA, George Nipper of Hartsville, Paul Nipper of Murfreesboro, Alfred Nipper of Madison; sisters, Connie Black and Ann Burke, both of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, William and Lucas Adams, Rachel Morrow, Amanda Pack, Jamie Nipper, Jonie McKinley, Jodie Quinn and Christie Hall; great-grandchildren, Devon "Rooster", Lucas, Ayla, Payton, Andrea, Keira, Amyiah, Ashaun, Landon, Maleyah, Justus, and TJ.

Mr. Nipper was a member of Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church and a retired driver with Consolidated Truck Line.

Visitation will be from 2 until 8 p.m. Friday, and until 2 p.m. Saturday, at Woodfin Memorial Chapel, (615) 893-5151. www.woodfinchapel.com
