Not sure what to say?

Mr. Passmore is the only principal I remember as a Lake Highlands student riding the bus to RHS from 1957 to 1963. These tributes from former students speak volumes about Mr. Passmore's influence. So sorry to hear of his passing.

Mr. Passmore, Thank You for the effort you spent teaching the typing class at RHS. It must have been in 53 or 54 that I was in your class but I remember the effort you spent with your students of which I was one.

My mom and dad were close friends of both Bill Passmore and of a number of our high school teachers. They told me that the teachers held him in the highest regard and respect and were highly motivated to be the best teachers they could be through his leadership. Whether you were in RHS a year or the entire time, you and I were impacted by the quality of education that he and his faculty provided. There were no national or state tests of schools to measure performance back in the "old days"...

Thank you for caring and giving. You touched the lives of countless people - especially young people.

What a rare experience it is to share a relationship beginning as principal/student in the '50s and culminating as mutual friends in 2007. My life has been much richer due to Mr. Passmore's influence and guidance which has incrementally increased in value as I've grown older and, perhaps, wiser.

What a wonderful legacy Bill Passmore left to us all! And how blessed are his former students and colleagues to have been a part of the formation of that legacy. Though my time with him was brief (I didn't get sent to the principal's office TOO often!) and I went far away and didn't see him again until I retired from teaching myself, I heard warm expressions of affection regarding him over the years.
Many loving thoughts to you, his family, and to us, those touched by his career, at the...

Mr. Passmore tried to teach me
"To Care"
"To Be Considerate"
" To Be Compassionate"
He was a good man who strived to be a better man. I am a better person for it.

Mr. Passmore was a very special human being. I can not imagine my years at RHS (Class of "58) without his presence, guidence and humor. I will always value the contributions he made to my life.

Mr. Passmore was the principle when I started kindergarden at Lake Highlands Elementary in about 1977. He was a very kind and always said "hello". I have always remembered him with great fondness and will have his family and loved ones in my prayers.
