Not sure what to say?

Condolences to Shirley and family. I worked with Billy at Davidson Lumber Sales back in the 70's and 80's. I just found out about his passing. Billy was a great salesman and one of my favorite people at Davidson Lumber Sales. He always had a joke or humorous story to tell. Everyone enjoyed his friendly and easy going manner. I will miss Billy and his ever present smile.

He has joined a number of the softball family and will be welcome with open arms.

So many memories flooding my mind as I contemplate the jovial life of Billy. He had a quote for every situation we were ever in, and were we! I will forever miss the card games traveling to Fast pitch diamonds throughout the western states. Billy always just wanting a bale of hay with a Pepsi, and Rebel to hit the throttle, and let him know when we get there!
Dear Shirley, our love to you always, you are such a great person and support to Billy. May you be blessed and comforted at this...

What a gem to have the pleasure of playing beside. Bill was 18 years older than me when we teamed up for a three-year run on the Rebels that were the most enjoyable years of my playing career, largely because of Bill's unique combination of playing skills and personality. He took me under his wing and I'll always appreciate how much he taught me about the game. And I'll never forget the time on a road trip when we were staying four to a motel room and he woke up in the morning exclaiming, "I...

A wonderful guy who will be missed. Many fun times with the Rebels Softball team. Grateful you guys come to celebrate Robyn Thompson's birthday in April where Bill entertained us with his bagpipes! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and we will be in touch. With love, the Thompson Clan
