Not sure what to say?

Sincere condolence to Christine and Billy on the passing of Shreck. I will miss his quick wit and hearty laugh. He was truly one of the good guys. We worked together at MDOT for over 32 years and shared an alumni love for everything MSU. Shreck let me tag along as a student to many public meetings, highway openings and opened my eyes to all that is MDOT. One of my fondest memories will be us riding the X-2000 high-speed rail train in the mid 90’s. It ran from...

Offering prayers of peace

I had worked with Bill many times at the Bay Region Office he would always take time to answer my questions when it came to politics. He always had a interesting take on topics. Bill was very knowledgeable when it came to the politics that goes along with MDOT. We also spent time on the golf coarse in the Region annual golf outing. Many holes were spent laughing at each other. I will miss him.
My condolences to the family.

I am so sorry to hear about Bill´s passing. He was an integral part of my campaign for state representative back in 1980. He was in charge of polling. He ended up having a great career in the political arena. He really was quite brilliant. I knew he would succeed in whatever he ended up doing. Prayers are being offered for his loving family.

What a wonderful Father and friend to all he met. I met Bill on our sons senior trip to Cancun, Mexico. We were roommates and quickly became friends. We enjoyed watching our sons and enjoying what Cancun had to offer. It was a wonderful vacation and I consider it as one of my most memorable trips. To Billy and his family, my sincere condolences. May Bill Rest In Peace in the arms of our Lord.

Group of 10 Memorial Trees

I consider Bill a co-worker, but also a friend at MDOT. As others have said, he had a kind smile, great sense of humor and dedication to the work we were charged to do. With his varied responsibilities, Bill always had the best in mind for the State of Michigan. My sincere condolences to his family. He will be missed.

On behalf of the Capuchin brothers I offer my deepest sympathies on the passing of Bill. It is truly jumbling to receive memorial donations in honor of his life. Please be assured of the brother's prayers for the entire Shreck family during this great time of grief. May perpetual light shine upon Bill.

I am so sorry to learn of Bill’s passing. He was so easy to talk to when I worked with him in the executive area at MDOT. He had a great sense of humor and was always kind. My deepest sympathy to his family.
