SAUGERTIES-Bill Yosh died on Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021 after a valiant four and a half year battle with stomach cancer. Make no mistake, Dad did it his way. In spite of living with cancer he travelled and lived as if everything was ok. If you asked how he was, it was always in the affirmative. He...

Not sure what to say?

Mr. Yosh was my 10th grade English teacher at Kingston High School. All of these years later, I still remember him as a kind and generous teacher, who encouraged me to enter a local writing contest. He definitely stands out as a person who left a lasting impression, long after I graduated. My condolences to the entire Yosh family.

I met “Mister “Yosh in high school I never had him as a teacher but had him for study hall. I got to know him and appreciated his kind heart and sense of humor. I loved running into him over the years .He certainly left his mark on the world. God rest his beautiful soul .

He was a wonderful (and favorite) teacher. I’m so sorry for your loss. Loved reading his obituary. What a terrific man! Elizabeth Worth (Kaman) Class of 79.

So sorry to hear of Bill's passing. John and I always enjoyed his company, especially as it related to anything irish. You are in my prayers. Mary Bailey.

So sorry to hear about Bill. He was a friend, fellow teacher, and SAT partner. We had a lot of good times.

He treated me like a peer rather than some dumb 20 something kid which would have certainly been understandable.
It was...

I have such great memories of Mr. Yosh at KHS. I loved his class ( he was my favorite teacher, by far) and his enthusiasm for his students and subject matter were more than apparent. Such a wonderful, good man. My sincere condolences to his entire family.

Please accept my sincerest condolences.

Bill was an amazing individual and a real friend. I met him in Saugerties at a neighborhood party in 1973 and we have stayed in contact even though I kept moving. I watched a number of Notre Dame football games with him while sharing stories, laughs and beers. Any time I made a returned visit to Saugerties my trip was not complete without a visit to Bill and Barb's house. I will think of him often and will raise my glass on St. Patrick's Day...

Bill was my favorite teacher in high school. He was great at keeping our attention. He will be missed.
