Billie Brooks

Billie and her family lived across the street from my family growing up. My sisters and I "played with Billie and her sister Velma Lee every day. We attendted the same "grade school and High school. We met again many years later, about 15 yrs ago. She invited my friend and I to dinner. What a lovely evening. We also met a talked at a couple of High school reunions. We have lost a very dear friend.

Such a lovely person. Often chatted with her as she worked in the bakery at Albertson's. She was a friendly neighbor on our block. Fresh bread for Thanksgiving! Peace at last Miss Billie.
