MATTOON – Billie Dale Groniger, 74, of Mattoon passed away at 8:45 a.m. Friday (Aug. 28, 2009) at her home.
Billie was born July 16, 1935, in St. Louis, Mo., the daughter of Rev. Dr. A. Mont and Linore (Ball) Massey.

My memories of Billie go back to the First Christian Church when we were kids. I would have liked to have attended the visitation for her.

Billie was my roomie in nursing school.
We used to be so close and shared everthing together. Recently I had a chance to let her know I remembered all the special times we shared and that I will miss her.
After we say good-bye it is the shining memories of love and laughter that will comfort us forever.
