JOHNSON, Billie Marie ? Age 88
Died peacefully October 17, 2014, at Maplewood Manor in Clio Michigan. Billie was born December 1, 1925 in Flint Michigan, the daughter of Everett and Lola Rhoads.

Billie enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casinos and spending time with her family. She worked for the Carman School District for over 25 years as a head cook.

Billie was joined in marriage to Walter Henry Johnson on January 10, 1948 who preceded her in death on May 31, 2001.

She is survived by 4 children and their spouses; Marsha (Jerry) Steepe, Walt ?Butch? (Nancy), Steve (Terri) and Sherry (David) Smith, 9 loving grandchildren; Gordy, Troy, Stacy, David Jr., Aaron, Walt, Bryan, Brad and Bradley and 10 great grandchildren with one on the way. She also leaves behind her 2 sisters; Dorothy Hill and Betty Sanders. In addition to her husband, Billie was preceded in death by her 2 brothers; Charles and Tommy.

We would like to give special thanks to Maplewood Manor ? West Wing and heartfelt thanks to Billie?s ?adoptive? daughters Sandy Sellers & Debbie Zokoe.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to assist in covering funeral expenses.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road. A funeral service celebrating Billie?s life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 21, 2014, Pastor Tedd Culver officiating. Burial at Sunset Hills Cemetery on Flushing Road.

Steve and Family,
Sorry to learn of your mother passing. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Remember all of the good memories to help you through the days ahead.

I have such great memories of both our families we were so close. Will always remember Billie's smile it could change the world she was a wonderful person and a great neighbor. My thoughts are with all you kids at this time remember the good old times.

I am having a medical procedure tomorrow and am prepping for it today, or I would be there. I didn't know your mom, but have heard only wonderful things about her. My love, thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this hard time.
