Dear Susan and family. I had the privilege of working with Billie at the Health Department from 1996 until her retirement. What a wonderful person, and I can honestly say that when I spoke of her to other people I would tell them that she was my hero. I admired her for her hard work, her perseverance, and her love of life. She was smart, classy, kind, beautiful and was the voice of reason. She made going to work a pleasure and I will never, ever forget her or the wonderful time I had...

I just learned the sad news of Billie's passing tonight. I was Billie's health insurance agent, and I enjoyed dealing with her so much. She will be missed. Please accept my deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy. Prayers for comfort and peace.
