Not sure what to say?

I never met Billie Howland Steffee, but worked at AcroMed, which was the company founded by her ex-husband, Dr. Arthur Steffee. When I took my children to the Zoo, I would tell them that the Sarah Allison Steffee Center for Zoological Medicine was named after their daughter and it was made possible because of Billie Howland Steffee's generosity. After reading her obituary, I now know how generous she really was and she helped more than just the Cleveland Zoo. Thank you.

Billie was a fine neighbor and a great steward of her property on Music Street. She was one of the most generous people I have known who really improved the quality of life for all residents of northeast Ohio. She will be missed.

Our deepest sympathies to you David and to the rest of the family. Your mother was an amazing woman and she will surely be missed by many of us in the equine community. She made a difference and that is her legacy. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

David and Family,
I am so sorry to here of your Mothers passing. What a blessing she was to all of us. Much love to you and your Family.

To the family of BILLIE HOWLAND STEFFEE. My family sends their deepest sympathy to you. Our thoughts and prayers goes out to you. Psalm 90:12.

Billie became almost a second mom to me during our time together in Cleveland. I was honored to provide staff support to her fund at The Cleveland Foundation but we became much more than colleagues - we became friends. She was thrilled when I re-married and I have such happy memories of tasting cakes with her. My daughter and I loved visiting Craighead and grooming the horses. She was laser focused in her desire to end violence in our community and she put much energy and resources into...

David and Laura:

So sorry for your loss. It's never easy loosing a parent. It was a pleasure getting to know your mom through the years through the horse shows etc. She was a very generous person, and will be missed.

David: I am so sorry to hear this news. I have kept up with your mom over the years but didn't realize she was so sick. I will be thinking of you all on Friday. I tried to get back - even bought a ticket - but it's not going to work out. Please know you, Laura, and your kids are in my thoughts. I am so glad you got to be with her at the end. Much love, Sara
