Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear about Coach Allgood. He was such a special man, and I thought the world of him. I remember him teaching me swimming at the indoor pool at LC when I was small. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Marla Willet Morvant

First, I would like to pass on my heart felt condolences to Mrs. Allgood, Duke and the extended family and friends. Coach Allgood was a coach who embraced me @ early age, letting me have access to his wisdom & knowledge of life, religion, athletics and unlimited access to the field house to hone my basketball skills. Coach, and Coach Rushing shared an interest in my ability to play the game of basketball. I can remember sometime Coach would be bothered with his ailing back and would be on his...

We were saddened to hear the news of Coach Allgood's passing. He is a treasure to all those who were fortunate enough to spend some time with him. God bless and keep you.

Offering my condolences. May Almighty God and your treasured memories bring you peace, comfort, and strength to endure. (Psalm 147:3)

With my sincere sympathy to your family; May your treasured memories continue to provide a measure of comfort and peace to the family. Please be strengthened from (Isaiah 61:1,2) our God "binds up the broken-hearted and comforts all who mourn"

The attendance was so large that Mrs. Allgood had difficulty getting past the officers who were turning people away due to fire department requirements. She made it and Billy and the basketball team played a great game that was enjoyed by large gathering of...

Becky and I were so sorry to here about Billy's passing. Our condolences go out to Irene and all of Billy's family. We will always cherish and remember visiting with Billy, Irene and there beloved dog Pokie, with our beloved dog Maggie. Billy would keep us entertained with stories from his coaching life. He was a true Christian and a great man who will be greatly missed by all. We are proud to have been able to call him a friend. God's blessings to the entire family.

Offering sincere condolences for Coach Allgood's loss. Lifting Irene and family in prayer.

"Bow up, boy!" How many times did I hear that pointed but pertinent phrase playing both basketball and baseball under Coach Allgood? Do you think there ever was a lame "no good" lashing-out reference behind closed doors in the A-Dorm following an exhausting practice frequently featuring a disarming dressing down? But over time, immaturity faded as anyone with an ounce of integrity or athletic knowledge knew Billy was equal to, if not superior to, his counterparts at larger universities....
