Billy Joe Caroway

He touched the lives of many young adults and helped to educate and inspire so many over the years. May God bless his family and help us all remeber the rich legacy of a man that helped raise 4 gernations through his leadership and service.

I was fortunate to have been coached in Basketball and Football by Coach Caroway at MHS back in the '63-64. He was an encouraging and positive coach and teacher to so many. I learned to be a better competitor as well a lot about sportsmanship from Coach. Janice and Bill were our neighbors on Stacy Street in Morganton, NC in the mid 1960s. After learning of the strong Music program at First Baptist Morganton they moved their membership to FBC from a nearby church. We had an excellent program during my youth at the old building. The SAINTS who will welcome Bill from our Stacy Steet neighborhood includes Corleys, Bishops, Martins, Fishers, McCraws, and Bob and Jo Smith!!

RIP Mr. Caroway! He was my principal at Liberty junior high school.

I am so sorry for your loss. I cherished every visit with Mr. Caroway. We had some great talks about everything from breakfast biscuits to His Love for his beautiful wife and family. I will miss his sweet little grin. He didn´t know it but he was my favorite. Many prayers for you all and much love.
