Billy L. Eaddy LAKE CITY- Mr. Billy L. Eaddy, 75, husband of Betty Jo Eaddy, passed away peacefully at his home, Saturday, September 28, 2013 after a long illness. Mr. Eaddy was born on August 2, 1938, in Florence County, a son of the late J. Ezra and Vera Mae Lyerly Eaddy. He was a graduate of Lake City High School and attended Clemson University. Mr. Eaddy was a former member of the S.C. House of Representatives, a retired farmer, owner/operator of Fresh Foods & Processing and Eaddy Concrete. He was a charter member of Grace & Glory Ministries where he was also a member of the Choir and the Cornerstone Sunday School Class. Mr. Eaddy is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Hutchinson Eaddy of Scranton; a son, William E. "Bill" Eaddy of Lake City; two daughters, Leah Monica Feagin of Scranton and Mary (David) Godwin of Pawley's Island; a sister, Katie Rose Eaddy (Benjamin) Morrow of Gastonia, NC; a brother, Dan Sherwood (Peggy) Eaddy of Myrtle Beach; two granddaughters, Paige Godwin (Bryan) Cooper of James Island and Ashlyn Eaddy of Lake City; sisters-in-law, Shirley Eaddy of Lake City, Edna (Gene) English, Jean Poston, Barbara Miles and Patsy (Duck) Davis, all of Scranton and a number of nieces and nephews. Mr. Eaddy was pre-deceased in death by his son, James Frank Eaddy and a brother, James Baron "Bozie" Eaddy. Funeral services will be at 4:00 p. m. Monday, September 30, 2013, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, Scranton, SC. Burial will follow in the High Hill Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Scranton. Memorials may be made to Grace & Glory Ministries, P. O. Box 70, Coward, SC 29530.
