Not sure what to say?

Our deepest sympathy goes out to Velma and the rest of Bill's family. We did not see Bill often after retirement, (We were all Knox County administrators) but if we asked our memories to bring up a picture of Bill, his facial image would be smiling or laughing out loud. Rest in peace, old friend, knowing that you have the love and respect of a whole lot of children whose lives you have touched.

Dear Bill Huffaker Family: I am sorry for the loss of Mr. Huffaker. The loss of him is Heaven's gain. He was my principal throughout elementary school. As I look back, I am grateful to have had him as my principal. He was my favorite pricipal throughout my 12 years of school. He was a caring man. When I got sick or injured, he took me home in his green Volkswagon. I fell on into a pile of glass in the 3rd grade and cut my wrist (missed an artery by a milimeter), other hand, and leg. ...

Velma,
We are deeply saddened in your great loss of Bill's passing. You and your family are in our prayers.
We pray our Lord Jesus will enfold you in His Loving Care and Peace.
Bill was one of the best Christian educators and friend. We treasure our Christian Friendship with him and you.

Our hearts are filled with sadness and sympathy to learn of Bill's passing. We all love you and your family and will keep you in our thoughts and prayers. May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

May God comfort you and give you peace during this difficult time.
I will miss seeing him at Wallace. He always had something nice to say about everyone. What a loss to our church and community.

Roy and I have been blessed to have Bill and Velma as neighbors for 34 years. When we moved in beside them, we were just a newly married couple. Just kids. They have always been great neighbors. For the last few years, we have missed seeing and hearing Mr. Bill come and go in the old blue truck. We have missed seeing him work in the garden. We have missed his laugh that could be heard across the yard. He had a great sense of humor. And now we will miss just knowing that he is next door. He...

Mr. Huffaker,
Was a Man who truly loved all of his school kids like they were his. He hugged you when you needed a hug, he used the paddle when needed. When I hear the name Mr. Huffaker my mind goes back to a more simple time in the world, but most of all my my heart feels warm and my face is smiling. I am a better person for having him in my life. Thank you Mr. Huffaker for being a Godly Principal you will be greatly missed. Pennie Bates Cable
